Der Zweikanal-DJ-Mixer DJX 10i ist ein sehr gutes DJ-Einstiegsmodell, das auch bei der Privatparty seinen Einsatz findet. Hierfür können CD-Player oder Schallplattenspieler angeschlossen werden und man kann gleichzeitig die spezielle Docking-Station für den iPod bzw. das iPhone nutzen, mit der die Tracks ausgewählt, gestartet und mittels Key-Range in ihrem Tempo verändert werden können. Durch die integrierte, hochwertige Soundkarte ist es auch möglich einen Titel schon vorzuhören während der andere gerade läuft. So kann beim Mixen und Scratchen genau der richtige Einsatz abgepasst werden.

Die Mixer-Einheit besticht durch zwei Kanäle mit jeweils einem Dreiband-Equalizer samt Kill-Switches und Gain-Regler. Das Blending ist auch mittels Crossfader in drei verschiedenen Kurven möglich.

Die Effekt-Bank enthält neun Effekte, z.B. Filter, Echo oder Flancher, die auf die einzelnen Kanäle geroutet, mittels Jog-Wheel angepasst und mit Dry/Wet-Fader zugemischt werden können, aber auch einen Sampler zum Loopen von bis zu 25 Sekunden.

Neben einem Cinch-Masterausgang weist der DJX 10i einen USB-Anschluss für einen PC auf, sodass der Mixer als USB-Audiogerät am PC erkannt wird und somit das Signal aufgezeichnet oder auf andere Weise weiter verarbeitet werden kann.

Fazit: Ein stylisches Highlight für Hobby-DJs mit Funktionen, die man so sonst nur aus dem Profibereich kennt.

Fresko

Freskomalerei oder Frischmalerei (it.: al fresco, „affresco“ = ins Frische) ist eine Form der Wandmalerei, bei der die nur in Wasser gelösten Pigmente auf den frischen Putz aufgetragen werden.

Beim Carbonatisierungsprozess des Kalkes werden dann die Pigmente sehr stabil in den Putz eingebunden, Fachleute nennen diesen Vorgang auch Einsinterung. Das fertige Wand- oder Deckenbild wird das Fresko oder die Freske genannt. Der ausführende Künstler wird als Freskenmaler oder Freskant bezeichnet. 

Die Bezeichnung Fresko hat sich umgangssprachlich für Wandmalereien jeder Art so eingebürgert, dass sie im normalen Sprachgebrauch oft ebenso für im Gegensatz zur feuchten (al fresco)-Ausführungsweise auch für trocken (al secco) mit Tempera-, Öl- oder Acrylatfarben ausgeführte Malereien verwendet wird. Selbst an Wandflächen applizierte Leinwandmalereien werden fälschlicherweise, auch in der Fachliteratur, als Fresken bezeichnet.

Bei der Al-fresco-Malerei werden kalkechte Farbpigmente in Wasser oder Kalkwasser angerührt und auf den noch frischen, also feuchten Kalkputz (Intonaco) aufgetragen. Beim Abbinden (Trocknen, Festwerden) entsteht eine homogene Kalkputzschicht mit eingearbeiteten Farbpigmenten. Diese Reaktion nennt man "Carbonatisierung". Die hierdurch entstandene Schutzschicht um die einzelnen Farbpigmente verbindet sich sehr stabil mit der Unterschicht und erhält die Farbintensivität der Pigmente für Jahrtausende. Dass der Putz feucht ist, heißt nicht, dass er erst an diesem Tag angefertigt wird. Für die bedeutenden Werke der Kunstgeschichte wurde der Sumpfkalk über Jahrzehnte in Wassergruben gelagert, damit der Hydrationsprozesses des ungelöschten Kalkes möglichst weit fortschreiten konnte. Frisch angerührter Löschkalk ist für die Freskomalerei nahezu unbrauchbar. Je länger die Ablagerungszeit ist, desto cremiger und somit besser ist die Konsistenz des Werkstoffes (ungelöschter Kalk CaO + Wasser H20 = Calciumhydroxid Ca(OH)2 , siehe auch Kalkkreislauf). 

Die Farbe kann nicht wie bei der so genannten Seccomalerei (Wandmalerei auf der trockenen Wand) abblättern. Die Technik ist aufwändiger und schwieriger, da Putz und Farbe jeweils am selben Tag aufgetragen werden müssen und es keine Möglichkeit der Korrektur gibt. 

Einzelne Motive des Gesamtfreskos werden jeweils an einem Tag bearbeitet, das so genannte Tagwerk (giornata). Deren Umrisse sind in Originalgröße auf einen Karton vorgezeichnet und werden von diesem mit einem spitzen Griffel auf die noch feuchte Wand gepaust. Der Putz des nächsten Tages muss ganz vorsichtig bis an den bereits eingefärbten Putz des Vortages herangebracht werden, um nicht das bestehende Werk zu zerstören. Die dadurch entstehenden Stöße zwischen den einzelnen Tagewerken sind bei Streiflicht gut zu erkennen.

Geschichte

Beliebt war die Freskomalerei in der Antike. Gut erhaltene Beispiele römischer Fresken Pompeji (z.B. in der Mysterienvilla) und Herculaneum.

Im Mittelalter wurde seit Giotto gerne mit einer Mischtechnik von Fresko und secco gearbeitet. Gut erhaltene Beispiele finden sich in der Cappella degli Scrovegni in Padua und in der Basilika San Francesco in Assisi. 

In der Renaissance und im Barock wird dann fast ausschließlich wieder „al fresco“ gearbeitet. Berühmte Beispiele hierfür sind die Sixtinische Kapelle mit dem bedeutendsten Freskenzyklus des Abendlandes von Michelangelo, diejenigen von Raffael im Vatikan und Domenico Ghirlandaios Fresco Fresco

Bei Maßnahmen der Denkmalpflege und der Restaurierung werden häufig Fresken von der Wand abgelöst und auf einem neuen Bildträger angebracht.

Das größte Fresko der Welt (677 m²) befindet sich im Treppenhaus der Würzburger Residenz und wurde in den Jahren 1752-53 von Giovanni Battista Tiepolo gemalt.
